How to Print Recipes

Find out how to print your ClassCart recipes and see the information you need

Written by Hemedi Saidi

There are a few ways to print recipes in ClassCart, depending on the information you want to see.

If you are just wanting to see a printout of the recipe with method, ingredients etc. and no related information such as class or lesson time, you can just ... print the recipe page

Print Recipe Page

ClassCart provides printable recipe page links for all your recipes. This means you can share these pages without anyone needing to sign in to ClassCart. They are also conveniently formatted for printing and have a few layout options.

Here is how to print a recipe page:

  1. Go to the recipes page — app.classcart.com/recipes.

  2. Find the recipe(s) you want to print.

    1. If the recipe is hard to find or buried in folders, the quickest way to find it is to just search for it in the search bar — which can be found in the top right corner, under the "Recipes" title. Usually typing the first five letters of the recipe brings it up.

  3. Next step is going to the print out page

    1. If you want to print just one recipe, click on the print icon:

    2. If multiple, hover over each recipe you want to select and click on the checkbox icon.

This step can be simplified a lot if you want to print all recipes in a folder, or all recipes generally. Simply select one, then click on select all.

Once all selected, a popup box will appear. Click on the "Load in Printer-Friendly Format (One Page)" button.

  4. You will then be taken to the printable page for the recipe(s). Here you can print straight away, or customise the servings and other settings first.

Print Ordered Recipe

Printing an ordered recipe is ideal if you want extra information such as the class its for, when the lesson will be (Lesson 3-4, for example), or who made the order. Keep in mind this is a printout of an order that has already been made for a recipe, as some of this information is relevant to the order.

Here is how to print an ordered recipe:

  1. Go to the orders section — app.classcart.com/#orders.

  2. Find the order you want to print. Make sure you are viewing the correct date range.

  3. When you find the order, click on the bookmark icon. This will only show that order, and expand it to reveal all the recipe ingredients.

  4. Finally, click on the print icon.

Print Recipes From Shopping List

When it comes to printing recipes from the shopping list, there are two main approaches. One is to have the default shopping list view and group the orders by a mixture of recipe and class; the other is to see a class allocation report.

Default Shopping list

Here is how to print recipes from the shopping list:

  1. Go to the shopping list page — app.classcart.com/shopping-list.

  2. Make sure to be viewing the correct date range, for the order(s) you are wanting to see.

  3. Fine tune the shopping list from the right hand sidebar:

    1. You can "Group By" Recipes, this will group all orders made for each recipe separately. Keep in mind this can consolidate multiple orders, if a recipe was ordered more than once in the given date range.

    2. You can also "Group By" Class, and then also separate out recipes. This is better if there are many orders made for the same recipe in different classes.

      ...

  4. Once you have the shopping list you want, click on the print button.

Class Allocation Report

The Class Allocation Report view...

Here is how to print a class allocation report:

  1. Go to the shopping list page — app.classcart.com/shopping-list.

  2. Make sure to be viewing the correct date range, for the order(s) you are wanting to see.

  3. Turn the class allocation report on:

  4. Just like that, you should see a report separating all ordered recipes per class with all the class, recipe, and allergy information.

  5. All that is left to do... press print:

Hopefully this article helped you find the perfect print out. If there was something missing or confusing, please don't hesitate to let us know. After all, this is a resource to help you work with ClassCart better.
